Nazar is forced by family and friends to divorce his wife Reyhaneh because her mother was a prostitute. He works double shifts to pay off the loan he took for the impulsive marriage and to pay Reyhaneh alimony. When he starts to fall behind on his payments, he flees to the desert where he goes together with a taciturn old man to catch poisonous snakes to milk their venom.
