Adi Shankaracharya plot
Film adaptation of the life of Adi Shankaracharya, one of India's greatest philosophers, born in the eighth century AD. Shankara grows up in a prosperous Brahmin family and lives a happy childhood. That is, until his father dies early. This prompts him to think deeply about life and death, the body and the soul. With his mother's permission, Shankara embarks on a quest for knowledge and truth. Under the care of his teacher Govinda Bhagavathpada, Shankara develops a non-dual, monistic way of thinking. Together with his followers, he spreads his philosophy across the Indian subcontinent.
