Meet Me in Venice plot

"Becoming father and daughter in one week"

Liza (Roberta Petzoldt) is a young woman who travels to Venice to see her Italian father Mauro (Beppe Costa). He has not seen his daughter since she was three years old, because he then divorced her mother. Since then he has traveled the world as a musician. When Liza arrives in Venice, her father appears to have more in store than just a stay in this atmospheric city. Mauro takes her on a musical journey along the Orient Express route, which will end in Istanbul. During the journey, father and daughter appear to have more similarities than they thought and their bond grows stronger with each kilometer they travel. When they arrive in Turkey, Liza discovers why her father contacted her after all this time.

Having to suppress the tendency to immediately stop the film at scene 1. Ok that didn't work the first time, but it did the second time.

Those whole camera monologues don't really add up to anything ad film, it doesn't serve any purpose.

Then bit through the sour coal English apple, until the rail movie started slowly, and one, along the way, was ultimately quite enjoyable.

I found it refreshing in these times of new prudishness to see uncomplicated naked breasts in a natural way.

This one was also still on the hard drive, so let's take a look. I didn't really know what to expect, but it wasn't bad, but it wasn't wow either. A road movie, which did captivate, but it really didn't blow my socks off either. The cast certainly did not do a bad job and otherwise the film looked fine.

Gosh the movie is good for once, but that's all.

Pretty nice in terms of atmosphere and tone, but this road movie has a bit of the same problem as many other road movies, namely that it becomes rudderless and many separate scenes work on the one hand, but on the other hand quickly do not fascinate (many scenes can be deleted in this way and lack a certain urgency ) and the whole also lacks a certain tension. Nice natural acting, nice pictures, pleasant camera use, sometimes shot a bit loose on the shoulder close to the skin and that fits well. All in all, a sufficient because there is enough beauty in it. 3.0*.
