The Cut plot
Mardin (Turkey), 1915. One night the Turkish gendarmerie herds all the Armenian men together. The young blacksmith Nazaret Manoogian is also separated from his family. However, he manages to survive the horrors of the genocide. It is only years later that he learns that his twin daughters also survived the genocide. Determined to find them again, his quest leads him from the desert of Mesopotamia to Havana to the dry deserted prairies of North Dakota.
