Jamie Dornan has admitted to being jealous of his pal Robert Pattinson's early fame when the pair were young actors.
While trying to make it in the film industry, Dornan and Pattinson shared a flat alongside future fellow stars like Charlie Cox, Andrew Garfield and Eddie Redmayne.
Pattinson was the first to hit it big, initially featuring in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Cedric Diggory before being cast in the juggernaut Twilight franchise as Edward Cullen.
Those two roles in particular sent him into the fame stratosphere, which left his room-mates behind for a while.
“I’ve known Rob forever,” Dornan told Wired.
“He’s a really good friend. I love him. I think he’s one of the most interesting, exciting actors around. I probably at one point was quite jealous early on. We were all friends back in London and Rob was going places and we weren’t. I think he’s the nicest guy in the world.”
The Irishman would go on to carve out an impressive career for himself, and he hit similar fame to Pattinson when cast in the adaptation of one of the most popular novels of all time, 50 Shades of Grey.
He is currently promoting the spy thriller Heart of Stone, which co-stars Gal Gadot.
