Bruce Willis' daughter Tallulah has provided an update on her dad's battle with dementia.
In 2022, Willis was diagnosed with aphasia and then frontotemporal dementia which can impact speech, behaviour and memory which led to his retirement from acting.
While appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show, Tallulah revealed that, despite everything that has happened, Willis retains his spirit as her dad.
"He is the same, which I think in this regard I've learned is the best thing you can ask for," she said. "I see love when I'm with him, and it's my dad and he loves me, which is really special."
Throughout his battle, Willis' family has been very open about their struggles as well as the struggles of the A-lister himself.
And, there are two reasons for this, according to Tallulah.
"I think on one hand, it's who we are as a family," she explained. "But also, it's really important for us to spread awareness about FTD. If we can take something that we're struggling with as a family and individually, to help other people, to turn it around, to make something beautiful about it, that's really special for us.
"Part of what's been a really beautiful way for me to heal through this is becoming like an archaeologist to my dad's stuff, his world and his little trinkets and doodads."
Bruce Willis to feature in The Movie Critic?
According to a report from The Express, Quentin Tarantino wants his Pulp Fiction star to play a small role in his new film, The Movie Critic, if his health will allow.
“Quentin hasn’t approached Bruce’s family yet – and will completely bow to their wishes if they say he’s too sick,” a production source told the newspaper.
“If that’s the case, he aims to try to work a brief clip from one of Bruce’s many previous movies into the film. His final few films all went straight to video or streaming because of his condition.
“Quentin wants to pay tribute to him with a quick glimpse for his legion of fans back on the big screen where he belongs."
