Alfa plot
When stockbroker Adam delves into his late father's past, the ground shifts from beneath his very ambitious feet. Without realizing it, he is immersed in the Danish drug world. His criminal hunger for power suddenly takes a completely different turn when his brother Jakob, a police officer, runs into him. The puppets start dancing, with the brothers each on a different side of the law.

The Danish thriller drama Alfa (Grow) unfolds according to the iron laws of the Nordic Narco Noir. And that means entertainment and excitement as we know it from the Swedish Before We Die and Danish Follow The Money. When drug trafficker and father of stockbroker Adam (Andreas Jessen) dies, a power vacuum is created. Adam and two old school friends consider boarding.
Adam's brother, Jakob (Sebastian Jessen, exactly, brother of) works for the narcotics police who have this particular gang in their sights. Family, eh, you can't live with them, but you can't live without them either. Although Alfa does not excel anywhere, it is a smooth series that easily looks away. Too bad that one of the storylines (Zabi-Colombia) remains completely in the void.
