Madelief plot

Madelief, Roos and Jan-Willem all live in the same street, on the outside of the city, where there is also a piece of land to play. They get along a lot and like all other children are sweet and naughty, sad and cheerful, obedient or cheeky. Why are they happy or scared or angry? Why do they think something is dirty? What is fair? What is pathetic? You can do it for a very long time.
