De Fabeltjeskrant plot

The Fabeltjeskrant was a daily short broadcast just before children's bedtime about the daily events in the Great Animal Forest in Fabeltjesland. The news was read by Mister (Jacob) the Owl. At the end of each episode he wished the sweet television children a good night's sleep, with his usual farewell greeting 'eyes closed and beaks closed', after which he closed his eyes himself and then winked with his right eye (left for the television children).
