Eleven-year-old orphan girl Lena gets the fright of her life when an almost two-meter-tall gorilla with a suitcase in his hand shows up at the door. When it turns out that this monkey, named Benedict de Groot, is Lena's only living relative, she is surprised and overjoyed at the same time. Now she is finally freed from her horrible foster parents Nora and Job Kleverlaan. But Lena's foster parents do everything they can to separate Lena and Benedict. For the headstrong Lena, it makes perfect sense that she and Benedict move in together. This was much to the surprise of the local residents.
