The Best Times plot

The story revolves around single mother and widow Joanne Braithwaite who decides to teach English again at John F. Kennedy High School in Southern California. Joanne's daughter, Mia has just started JFK High School and is doing her very best to fit in. Joanne finds support from science teacher Mr. Dan Bragen. The students at JFK High are Tony, tough chick Anette, former high school dropout Chris, Dionne & Giselle, who work part-time at a fast-food restaurant called The Potato Palace, and Neil "Trout" Troutman, who is the night manager. is at The Potato Palace. Trout's girlfriend is Joy and Trout's younger brother is Dale. The young people encounter problems such as drugs and sex before marriage.
