Sanningen season 1

This series was really something for me. He speaks calmly and penetratingly. It revolves around police work but is above all an excellent drama series. Nice to see Sofia Helin again as a detective after The Bridge, this time she does not have autism, but is still very human and empathetic in other ways. I enjoyed the actress and the entire series as well. Indeed: not primarily an exciting series, but one for those who also like drama.

Sanningen season 1

After a traumatic experience, the introverted protagonist Iris Broman (Sofia Helin - The Bridge, Atlantic Crossing) moves from Stockholm to Malmö to investigate a cold case. With screenwriter Camilla Ahlgren (The Bridge, Quicksand) on board, Sanningen can hardly go wrong. Yet the six-part psychological drama - a light, emotional variant on Nordic Noir - is disappointing.

The unsurpassed Sofia Helin acts well and literally without frills, but seems to get a bit lost in the messy and contrived plot. There is a lot happening in Sanningen that is related to the Swedish classic Beck. What doesn't help are the various subplots that end unfinished in the Swedish Bermuda Triangle, somewhere under the Øresund Bridge. Sanningen is too ambitious in the numerous stories and events that need to be told. A second season appears to be in the works; the characters in Sanningen are fascinating enough for it. Now the story itself.
