RAN: Remote Area Nurse plot

Helen Tremaine has returned to Masig Island in the Torres Strait in Queensland, Australia. She has previously worked with the villagers as a nurse there. Helen regularly clashes with local politicians. She also often has conflicts with locals who do not want to change their own culture, although at the same time they depend on outsiders to be protected from dangers such as dengue fever.
