East West 101 plot

Zane Malik is a young detective with the "Major Crime Squad" detective team in Sydney. He is Muslim and as a Muslim detective in a post 9/11 world, where being Arab alone is a cause for suspicion and fear, Malik feels the constant pressure to prove himself again and again. He will have to work with veteran detective Crowley whose rules and regulations played a secondary role in achieving results.
