East of Everything plot

When his mother dies, Art Watkins returns to the run-down resort town of Far Out East, which his mother, among other things, left to him. It is located in Broken Bay, the easternmost point of Australia. Art is reunited with his younger brother and his son, whom he hasn't seen for ten years. He only wants to stay for a while, but his life slowly but surely becomes intertwined with that of the local residents, the itinerant travelers and the tourists.
