Chlopi plot

Chlopi follows the Boryna farming family and other villagers in the Mazovia region of Poland around the transition from the 19th to the 20th century. The complicated, often dramatic history of the Boryna family unfolds over the course of four seasons against the backdrop of the life of the rural community and is inextricably linked to the rhythms of nature, the rhythms of fieldwork and the rituals on the countryside.
