Cleo de Waard is the newly appointed CEO of a hospital and has been given one important task from the Board of Directors: budget cuts. However, she encounters considerable resistance from the specialists. Little by little, Cleo finds out that the Board of Directors has a double agenda and has no regard for the patients. Cleo, however, is becoming more and more passionate about healthcare and therefore has difficulty with the strict austerity measures. Will Cleo be able to keep the hospital and her own life on track as she encounters obstacles from all sides, or will it end up killing her?
