Born and Bred plot

Born and Bred is set in the 1950s in the fictional village of Ormston in Lancashire, England. Doctor Arthur Gilders and his son Tom run the small local hospital together under the new national health care rules. Tom is married to Deborah and they have four children: Helen, Michael, Catherine and Philip. Linda Cosgrove, the nurse at the hospital, and her husband Len, the village police officer, also play a role. Phyllis Woolf, the owner of the local pub, and Horace Boynton, the owner of the local shop, also have plenty to do in Ormston.
