Bluff City Law plot

Sydney Strait comes from a famous family in Memphis known for tackling injustice. She works at her father Elijah's famous law firm, until their tumultuous relationship got in the way. After years of barely speaking to him, Sydney is suddenly forced back into the family fold when her philanthropic mother unexpectedly dies. In the wake of her loss, hoping to reconnect with the daughter he loves, Elia asks Sydney to rejoin his company.
