Blind Justice plot

A New York police detective, Jim Dunbar, and his partner are ambushed by a man armed with an AK-47. Moments later, three other agents have run out of ammunition, and Dunbar's partner is frozen in fear. Dunbar takes action but gets a bullet in the head that causes him to lose his sight. The Corps wants to get rid of him, but he files a lawsuit that he wins so he can keep his job despite his blindness. He is paired up with detective Karen Bettencoart, who doubts his skills to still practice his profession. He also has to deal with his wife Christie's doubts and his own insecurities.
