True Story plot

The famous comedian Kid is on tour. During this journey through the country, he visits the place where he grew up, where he meets his older brother Carlton. Kid goes on a night stop with Carlton in Philadelphia. The next day, it turns out that this night could jeopardize not only Kid's success, but everything he's built in his life so far.

Contrary to previous reviews, I found the acting of the lead actor a breath of fresh air. I deliberately say "protagonist" because I didn't know Kevin Hart and didn't know he was an existing comedian. Perhaps that's why. His acting feels realistic and natural, not exaggerated or forced. That felt good. All the more surprising that he is a comedian. Snipes, on the other hand, did feel forced in a reasonable number of scenes. But the atmosphere between the two is pleasant.

Add a nice thriller/crime story to that. Of course it is not always logical and makes it a bit of a slipper here and there, but the stuffy atmosphere makes it a nice viewer. It has positively surprised me.

I find Kevin Hart really annoying in some comedies. I think he handled the more serious role in this series very well. I'd love to see some more of these projects from him. The series continues to look good and there is enough tension in it. And how good is Snipes anyway. I hope he makes a nice comeback in a big movie one day
