Steeltown Murders plot

Set in 1973 and early 2000, this series is about the hunt for the killer of three young women in Port Talbot. It tells the remarkable story of how, as the first case of its kind, the mystery was solved nearly 30 years later using groundbreaking DNA evidence. It shows how the police methods of the 1970s contrast with the forensic breakthroughs of the early 2000s. Atmospheric crime series set in Wales. It takes some getting used to switching between 1973 and 2000, but once you get used to it, it's easy to follow. Interesting for fans of British crime series.

Excellent four-part British miniseries about the hunt for a serial killer in Wales. The series artfully jumps back and forth in the period between 1973, the time of the murders, and 2001, when the case was reopened and solved using new DNA techniques. Beautifully played against the backdrop of extremely dreary locations, as the English do so well.
