Sarah Kohr is a highly capable yet headstrong and uncompromising police officer. She often operates on the edge of the law and does not shy away from physical force to achieve her goals. She has a reserved demeanor and a strong sense of justice, which regularly brings her into conflict with her superiors and the bureaucracy. Her main partner (and former lover) is District Attorney Anton Mehringer. Although their methods are diametrically opposed—he the man of rules, she the woman of action—they depend on each other to solve complex and often politically sensitive crimes.
