Marcella plot
Marcella Backland returns to the Metropolitan Homicide Division after a 12-year career hiatus. Marcella is a detective in her late thirties who gave up her glorious job to get married and dedicate her life to a family. But after the abrupt end of her marriage to the love of her life Jason, and the estrangement from her thirteen-year-old daughter and ten-year-old son, Marcella returns to work as she tries to understand what is happening in her life right now.

Excellent English thriller series, written by the screenwriter of the Scandinavian series The Bridge. That level is not reached here, but this first season is cleverly put together, populated by fascinating characters. At times, the various plot lines are also very exciting. I'm going for season two.
