When the bloodied but still living bodies of a young woman and man are found naked in a roadside ditch, an emotionally charged investigation begins in a race against time. At the forefront is a no-nonsense female police commissioner who begins to uncover the horrific details of the victim's gang rape. The investigation turns into a difficult quest for corruption and pervasive cultural misogyny. Is a fair trial possible in a country with a history of denial and victim blaming?
