Mayberry R.F.D. plot

We follow the stories of widower Sam Jones and his young son Mike. Sam is a farmer who lives in Mayberry and is elected head of the local city council. Sam is helped in raising Mike by Aunt Bee, the former housekeeper of Andy Taylor, the Sheriff of Mayberry. Aunt Bee was hired by Sam after Andy Taylor's marriage to his lover Helen Crump and their subsequent departure from Mayberry.
