Harkum plot
When the mayor of the village of Harkum discovers that the stock market has been speculated with municipal funds, he is panicked. The money seems to have disappeared. But then it turns out that with the speculated money 700 million in profit has been achieved for the municipality. Suddenly the mayor has 'money to burn' and he no longer has to worry about the cutbacks on coffee pods in the canteen and the subsidy for the church choir. But how long does this happiness last?
