Bompa plot

'Grandpa' Jos Vleugels is a widower and lives with his grandson Leo. He has two sons. The oldest is Paul, who is married to aunt Josée Clinckhamers at the beginning of the series. Later in the series, however, they divorce and Paul leaves on a world trip and continues to live in Australia. Aunt Josée and Paul have a son who lives in Paris, Phillippe. The youngest son is Roger, who is married to Frieda. However, Frieda dies later in the series in an accident and Roger starts a relationship with his ex-sister-in-law Josée. Roger and Frieda have two children. Leo is their son, he marries Sonja Van Acker and together they have a son Joske. From then on, Grandpa is called den ouwen bompa (after his age), Roger becomes de groten bompa (tall in stature), and Sonja's father is called bompa lawijt (grandpa with a loud voice, noise = lawijt).
