Believe Nothing is a British comedy series starring Rik Mayall. He is better known for his roles in The Young Ones and Bottom. His role in Believe Nothing is very similar to that of The New Statesman, in which he played the part of a corrupt politician for 4 seasons. It's not all that original, but nevertheless Believe Nothing is hilarious again on some points. The first episode in particular stands out. Michael Maloney plays a nice supporting role as the servant Albumen.
The series was financed and shown by the British TV channel ITV, but due to disappointing ratings, the series was canceled after just one season.
