Half Hour Story plot

Anthology series consisting of short plays that only share their duration, which is thirty minutes. The plays were written especially for television, and were an opportunity for many up-and-coming directors and actors to prove themselves. Many episodes were directed by Alan Clarke, such as 'George's Room'. In it, a man meets a young widow as a potential tenant with her as a landlady. During this conversation and afterwards, the man learns some disturbing facts about the woman's relationship with her deceased husband.
