It was a little naive of me to think that an entire season's flaws would be fixed in the season finale, because somehow I was hoping that Trey Parker and Matt Stone would pull another rabbit out of the top hat. That's not happening. It ends like the second half of this series: with a tame "critique" of the Trump presidency and the role digital media - and trolling in particular - have played in the emergence of an even more dubious kind of politician than before. : the demagogues. The loose ends are somewhat dissolved and there are some funny jokes in the finale, but it shouldn't have a name.

It also seems that Parker and Stone themselves were firmly convinced that Clinton was going to win and that all their future storylines were based on that. The truth is stranger than the fiction, which makes the whole season feel like it has become a critique of something you really shouldn't criticize in the current climate. For example, Cartman turning into a politically correct teddy bear, while might make him more sexist than ever, isn't a big joke when you know that 'The Donald' won. In that sense it is interesting how they will fill in the series in an America that now appears to consist of small cart men. The attack on PC culture is probably over for good.
