I share the opinion of most here, somewhat disappointing s2. It felt a bit 'rushed' here and there.
That doesn't mean I didn't binge-watch all episodes in a few days, the core of the series = memorable characters, games, creepy music choices and special designs is still there.

Definitely on my mental watchlist for 2025 series - Squid game s3 , Severance s2 , Alice in borderland s3.

As stated elsewhere, this is a pretty lousy season. The first two episodes can even be called awful and we were already almost halfway through the series because this season has 2 episodes less than the previous one. The whole approach is wrong right from the start. In the already unnecessary last episode of season 1, Gi-hun talks at length with Oh Il-nam, the creator and host of Squid Game. He has every opportunity to vent his criticism and ask questions, but then season 2 starts with Gi-hun's message that he wants to know why the game is being played, etc. You've just spoken to the big boss of the game, what more do you want? People with red hair often make irrational decisions, but I really couldn't do anything with this. All sorts of things are built up in those first two episodes, which are later little used. The so-called VIPs from the first season have also completely disappeared from the picture.
The season is full of endlessly drawn out and boring scenes. Why do we have to watch a complete voting round three times? Even the local elections in my municipality don't last that long. In between, some sympathy is forced for a trans character so that the director can do justice to his socially conscious reputation. Fortunately, there is finally some action in the last episodes. They are very good, which is why a 2.5 became a narrow 3* at the last minute.

Certainly not a bad 2nd season, but of course the surprise is gone, and it was also just a bit less. The worst episode of the two seasons I thought was the last of this season.
I would have preferred this season to last a little longer and then be over, but hey, the cash register has to ring, right?
