Jericho season 2

Season 2 is indeed less than the first season.

The real great mystery of the attack is gone, and the sense of isolation has largely disappeared. Instead, we now get a lot of, not very interesting, posturing between the residents and Jennings & Rall.... Many prominent headlines from the first season have little more than a sparse supporting role here. Esai Morales (Beck), and DB Sweeney (Goetz) are nice additions to the cast. However, Lennie James still largely steals the show.

Season 2 starts a bit awkwardly, but episodes 5 & 6 are of a high level (hanging Goetz was always a nice sinister shot). Season finale feels a bit rushed, but we should be glad CBS gave in to a season 2 at all.

A few years ago, Netflix appeared to be in talks to take over the rights to the series. CBS blocked that (unfortunately!). But even now and occasionally (hopeful) rumors pop up that work is being done to get the series back on TV....
