Emile Ratelband was known as the positivity guru of the Netherlands, but has not always been positively in the news. We follow Emile's preparations for his intended emigration to Thailand with his twelve-year-old son Emilio. He wants to leave the Netherlands behind and start earning his living there. During the departure and view of the future, the past and present are also portrayed. Who is the Ratelband phenomenon really? A portrait of Ratelband is also formed in this series, to show who he really is. Ratelband became known to the general public for proclaiming his way of thinking, but he also caused a lot of fuss and was regularly negative in the news. Among other things, he clearly states how he thinks about gender, and responds to critics; for example, Jack Spijkerman calls him a 'pathological liar'.
