Gata Salvaje plot
Young woman Rosaura Rios loses her innocence when a wealthy heir to a ranch marries her and then leaves her. Rios is left to take care of her poor family, and she must take care of her children by working on the ranch of the wealthy Arismendi family during the day and working as a barmaid at night. When she saves Luis Mario Arismendi from a plane crash, she falls in love with him and they marry. Luis Mario's sister Eduarda, however, wants her brother to marry the beautiful and wealthy Eva Granados, so that the Arismendi ranch can be saved from bankruptcy.

I once started watching this telenovela to learn Spanish. It is set within the Spanish-speaking community of Florida. The actors are Venezuelan or Mexican. It all looks sunny and passionate.
The story is a bit like Cinderella, with a poor girl who becomes rich through all kinds of complications and finds love. Rosaura Ríos is nicknamed "Wild Cat" because she can scratch like a cat when she gets angry. She and Luis Mario are meant to be together, but there are obstacles, so it takes them 252 episodes to find each other.
The makers have not even made an attempt to keep it sober or realistic. Inheritance issues, family secrets, marriages of convenience, love triangles, lies, manipulations, conspiracies, double identities and false accusations are commonplace. The bad guys are after material possessions: family A's hacienda or family B's spa. Their sardonic laugh is an example of overacting. My favorite side character is Karina, who rivals her step-half-sister Rosaura in Latin fervor. Maid Panchita provides comic relief, for example when she tries to drive a tractor without brakes. You can't take this series completely seriously, but it is great entertainment.
