Sinhá Moça plot
Around the São Paulo of 1886 many confrontations take place between monarchists and republics: especially in Araruna, a small suburb of São Paulo. Sinhá Moça is the daughter of Colonel Ferreira, who is also the Baron of Araruna. She falls in love with the young doctor Rodolfo, an activist republican who is in favor of abolishing the monarchy. Rodolfo is also a child of the enslaved, and therefore fights for the abolition of slavery, in which struggle he faces many difficulties. They have to catch each other by train when Sinhá Moça, after completing her studies in the capital of the province, returns to her hometown Araruna. They find each other in their ideology regarding the abolition of the monarchy and slavery.
