Dark Skies season 1

wow! You have The X-Files (fantastic), and you have Dark Skies: the superlative. Each episode is one of the caliber X-Files season opener/shutter. No boring episodes where the characters are explored individually and no 'monster of the week' episodes. They could sometimes be disappointing at The X-Files and feel like filling. The overall atmosphere is grim, oppressive and exciting. Also one of the last times we could see JT Walsh at work, he plays superbly. Unfortunately, the series was canceled after one season, and the ends are quickly tied together towards the end. It probably didn't live up to expectations: dragging in at least as much as the competitor. The success of The X-Files will also have been the reason for launching this series, but the ideas of the makers are unique. And certainly not a copy.

Fan of The X-Files? Definitely give Dark Skies a try, I guarantee you won't regret it.
