Documentary about a major art theft in Boston in 1990. Two police officers walked into the Gardner Museum with guns drawn and managed to steal thirteen precious and unique paintings. While the police tried in vain to unravel the identity of the perpetrators, all the suspects were found dead one by one. Circumstances that ensured that the case was in the news worldwide. In the documentary, the special and mysterious case is extensively discussed. In addition to old archive images, videos, newspaper headlines and police files, various parties involved also have their say. For example, the makers speak with journalists, police officers and employees of the museum, who were directly or indirectly involved in the case at the time.
