Bridgerton plot
Bridgerton follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family, as she makes her debut in Regency London's competitive marriage market. Bridgerton should not be seen as a realistic costume drama and of course does not match the toppers from the British repertoire.
I had to struggle through the first episode - it was all very American in style to me - drama, sex that was choreographed down to the last detail that will probably be sensational for the American viewer and ugly CGI "drone images" between the acts. The story is predictable on all fronts and the supporting roles are one-dimensional.
And yet the series gets 2.5 stars from me because when I got the hang of it, it looked wonderfully away (mind zero and go) and -forward- 0.5 stars extra because of Regé-Jean Page.

This season is also less for me. The plot is basically the same: two characters clearly like each other, but have to overcome obstacles to get to each other. These obstacles mainly consist of psychological barriers that the characters have put up themselves through their past. Furthermore, this season is clearly less "steamy" than the previous one and the main characters in this season are also a bit more boring / boring, which makes me half a come out lower. 2*.
