Rôdosu-tô Senki plot

King Fahn and Emperor Beld, two former friends and heroes of the 'War against the Demon King', are now diametrically opposed as leaders of Valis and the dark land of Marmo, respectively. The young knight Parn wants to restore the honor of his deceased father. Is the impending war between Valis and Marmo the right time for the still inexperienced knight? Is Parn up to Beld's Black Knight Ashram? While wars are being fought, the Gray Witch Karla watches on.

Rôdosu-tô Senki season 1

A timeless and very charming series, which is worth restarting every so often, if only because of the beautiful music and the still beautiful drawings. The main characters provide some light humor: the brave but clumsy Parn and giggling ass Deedlit. The company and the stories were created by an avid player of the Dungeons & Dragons board game and you can tell by the archetypes: an evil dwarf with an ax and lust for revenge, a laconic and a little too curious thief, a healer who loves each other and an old, wise and stoic wizard who fortunately doesn't look like Gandalf for once. It stays nice and simple and never gets pretentious. Old-fashioned fantasy for young and old.

I was pleased to read that there is actually a Castlevania-like game that is inspired by this series: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth.
