Prachtige, emotionele en hoogst interessante documentaire. De kinderen, ondertussen zeventigers, tachtigers en zelfs meer geworden, vertellen hoe hun ouders in het verzet kwamen, welke damatische gevolgen hieruit voortvloeiden en welke herinneringen ze er aan hebben overgehouden, hoe groot de impact was op hun verder leven en hoe onuitwisbaar het allemaal is geworden. In het slot - en dat is heel frappant - verklaren "oorlogsexperten" hoe het verzet uiteindelijk, zoals ze het zelf zo goed verwoorden, "in de plooien van WO II is verdwenen" en hoe er in het o zo complexe België ook begrip bleek te zijn voor collaboratie... Terloops wil ik ook een pittige, persoonlijke annecdote kwijt. Met één van de "kinderen" heb ik zo wat 20 jaar geleden kennis gemaakt tijdens een vakantie in het Franse Cap d'Agde. We zaten samen aan tafel en beleefde een gezellige week. Blij hem gezond en wel en nog even vinnig te hebben terug gezien en hoe verheugd ik hieromtrent ook was, mijn kwotering heeft het niet beïnvloed want "Kinderen van het verzet" is een rake documentaire die ik aan iedereen aanbeveel

We sat together at the table and had a pleasant week.
