Gomer Pyle is a sweet-natured but not-so-smart Marine from Mayberry, North Carolina. He is stationed at Camp Henderson near Los Angeles, California. Gomer's innocence, naivety and understated demeanor often get him into trouble, usually with his rowdy superior, Sgt. Carter. Duke, Frankie, Lester and Larry are some of Gomer's friends at Camp Henderson.
