Quatermass plot

The aging professor Quatermass travels to the London of the near future, where society has fallen into anarchy. A spaceship is mysteriously destroyed by an alien force. The scholar must search for his granddaughter, who is missing. It also appears that a deadly ray from the universe immobilizes the youth of the world.
