The Investigator: A British Crime Story plot
After 40 years of insufficient evidence, renowned criminologist Mark Williams-Thomas re-examines a series of mysterious murders. With the help of fellow investigators, Williams-Thomas reconsiders each of the cases in which he spoke to relatives of the victims, eyewitnesses and police officers involved in the original investigation. Notably, Williams-Thomas' re-examination of Carole Packman's murder has uncovered enough important new information to warrant Dorset Police Force reopening the case and appointing a new superintendent to conduct a full review of the case.
