A Man Called Sloane plot

Thomas R. Sloane is a freelance spy. Although he is not officially employed by the government, he regularly receives assignments from the head of a secret federal police service. This man calls himself: The Director. Sloane gets help from his sidekick Torque, a man who is missing a hand and can screw all kinds of objects to his arm instead.
