I Am the Night plot

I Am the Night tells the gripping story of Fauna Hodol, a teenage girl given away at birth and growing up near Reno, Nevada. Fauna is more or less at peace with not knowing where she comes from, until one day she makes a big discovery. As she investigates her past further, she encounters a ruined reporter, unable to forget his previous job. Together, they follow a dark path to learn more about Fauna's past and possibly unravel the most infamous unsolved murder case.

Not-so-successful miniseries about the infamous Black Dahlia murder trial in early 1960s Los Angeles. The pace is slow, the plot focuses too much on peripheral matters and it just doesn't want to get really exciting. Fortunately, there are also positives: India Eisley and Chris Pine are both very good, the atmosphere of that time is very well captured, the camera work is beautiful and the events are just fascinating enough to keep the attention.
