De Paradijsvogels plot

With a smile and a tear, the series tells the experiences of the villagers who prefer to gather in the Hemelrijk, the cafe of the flamboyant, unmarried Catho and her beautiful foster daughter Leentje. The central theme in the Birds of Paradise is the daily life of ordinary Flemish people. Simple, somewhat caricatural folk figures, whose rhythm of life is determined by faith, work, the café, money and of course love.
