Waking the Dead season 1

I didn't know this series, but in the meantime I've seen the pilot film, the 9 seasons and also the mediocre sequel series The Body Farm - (1 season). The series needs some time to get going, which is why my appreciation has increased as the seasons have gone by. I found Waking the Dead surprisingly good from season 2 onwards: strong stories (one every two episodes), a great cast and setting and not too many side issues (except for the story about Boyd's son that keeps nagging for too long). There are a few issues that run through multiple episodes. Hence my tip: watch all seasons and episodes in the right order, with not too long intervals. Not all issues come to a conclusion with a positive result. "That's life" we might say. It is a pity that there are episodes where too much is left to the viewer's imagination. During the seasons, a few female employees are "written out of the series", this happens in less than nice ways. The character Boyd is a story in itself. A good choice that he is the constant factor in all seasons, but the way that guy rages against his staff would no longer be acceptable nowadays and would be labeled as transgressive behavior squared.
