Nice educational series by the Van Rossems. I can imagine that some people don't like Maarten van Rossem because of his jury role in De Slimste Mens, but this is the program where he really excels. Factual knowledge and dry humor. Nice to see how the family, each with a different field of expertise, always complements each other well. It is also interesting to learn more about the lesser-known cities of our country. Have to say that it is sometimes very 'slow TV'. A bit of a level All Holland Bakes and Farmer Seeks Woman.
For the Smartest Man fans: in addition to Maarten van Rossem in the lead role, Philip Freriks provides the commentary for this series.

More of the same in s4. Three elderly people moaning about their faults, grumbling at each other like brothers and sisters can and in between, or rather as the headliner, numerous treatises on history, art and architecture - it remains more than entertaining.
We learn, among other things, that Sis is at least closet a nudist, Maarten is incurably hydrophobic and that Vincent managed to get out of military service by taking drugs and also casually announce this at the registration interview. Spoiler tags not necessary, I thought.
All funny, but more interesting are of course Maarten's history lessons and Vincent's taste in architecture. But Sis' art discussions can also go through well with it. Until next season, ladies and gentlemen!
