The Bad News Bears plot
To avoid jail time, Morris Buttermaker agrees to a proposal to coach a baseball team. However, this team, the Bears, is the worst team in the league. Buttermaker, in collaboration with the school counselor Rappant, accepts the challenge and wins the respect of the team.
